Super Wife

I’m continually impressed with my wife. Her latest achievement is to be an amazing mother to our infant child while still winning an "employee of the quarter" award at her company while working from home. Her company has hundreds of people, keep in mind. Though I’d give her the award too for our little company ;) .

Part of her "secret" is seemingly effortless time management and an ability to get into her work flow quickly and intensely. In fact, on my book list is one written by a Hungarian called "Flow." The author is Csikszentmihaly and Agi is putting his principles into practice every day right here at our home lab. I continue to read these "self help" books while Agi lives them out.

Lucky

I was very glad to hear how Agi recently realized her ideal career would be
as a chef. She produces remarkable dishes at home on a regular basis which
is simply awesome for me. Also, although she works entirely from home my
wife still gets nominated for “employee of the quarter.” Very impressive.

Tenacity

My wife has so many qualities I appreciate about her.  Most recently, I've been extremely impressed at her tenaciousness as applied to solving IT-related problems.  Supposedly, setting up a wireless router should be a straightforward process.  My approach (each time we've tried to set one up) is to pull out the directions and diligently follow each step.  This–for whatever reason–never works and there's always an error of some kind.  Also, if you call up tech support, all they really do is have you restart you computer and "ping" various things.  And you can hardly ever get through.

So to the great credit of my hard-working, tenacious, talented and persevering wife, she attacked the router problem last night and didn't give in till she set up a wireless home network for her mom down here in Szekszard where we're visiting for about four days.  She continues to impress me every day and this makes me a lucky man.
